The announcement of the fourth season pickup by Netflix was made on so-called “828 Day” (8/28) - when the series about the mystery of Flight 828 is celebrated annually - at 8:28 AM PT. On August 28, 2021, it was announced that Netflix has closed a deal for a super-sized fourth and final season of the series.
The series will be available exclusively on the streamer worldwide. The third season was released on August 22, 2021. The first and second season were released on Jon Netflix and immediately topped the viewing charts. NBC opted to not renew but the show blew up on Netflix enough to justify bringing it back. Netflix US and CA licensed Manifest in June 2021. The series actors all participated in the #SaveManifest campaign, which helped keep the show at the top of the Netflix streaming rankings - and ultimately bring it back from the dead.
